Topic

apr packages that fix a bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.

Description

The Apache Portable Runtime (APR) is a portability library used by the Apache
HTTP Server and other projects. It provides a free library of C data structures
and routines.

This update fixes the following bug:

Previously, the "apr_strtoi64" interface did not clear the "errno" error state.
This error state could result in parse errors for applications that use this
code. With this update, the error state is cleared and applications that use
this code run as expected. (BZ#647121)

All APR users are advised to install this newly released package, which fixes
this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via the Red Hat Network. Details on how to
use the Red Hat Network to apply this update are available at
http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-11259
