A new redhat-release package is available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1.

Description

The redhat-release package identifies the release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

This new package reflects changes made for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.1.

Users of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 should upgrade to this updated package.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure that all previously-released errata
relevant to your system have been applied. Use Red Hat Network to download
and update your packages. To do so, run the following command (as root):

pup

Alternatively, for a command-line interface, run the following command instead:

yum update

To register your system to RHN, use the following command:

rhn_register
