Topic

Updated redhat-lsb packages that include support for LSB 3.0 test suites
are now available.

Description

The Linux Standards Base (LSB) is a set of standards that increase
compatibility among Linux distributions. The redhat-lsb package provides
utilities needed for LSB Compliant Applications. It also contains
elements to ensure that all components required by the LSB that are
provided by Red Hat Linux are installed on the system.

This updated version of redhat-lsb contains support for LSB 3.0 test suites,
including a new libraries version and other new packages needed by LSB 3.0.

Users of LSB test suites v3.0 should upgrade to these updated packages.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.

This update is available via Red Hat Network. To use Red Hat Network,
launch the Red Hat Update Agent with the following command:

up2date

This will start an interactive process that will result in the appropriate
RPMs being upgraded on your system.
