An update for fips-provider-next is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.

Description

This package provides a cryptographic module that is both an OpenSSL provider as well as a PKCS#11 software token. This is a preview of the next FIPS validation.

• OpenSSL: Generation of random seeds for PQC (JIRA:RHEL-154070)
• OpenSSL: missing 56A and 56B assurance checks (JIRA:RHEL-154400)
• OpenSSL: Key checks for ML-KEM (JIRA:RHEL-154426)
• OpenSSL: PQC zeroization issues (JIRA:RHEL-154436)
• TLSKDF Zeroization (JIRA:RHEL-154889)
• FIPS provider name does not mention Red Hat (JIRA:RHEL-106988)
• sign with RSA X9.31 is allowed (JIRA:RHEL-107059)
• Update fips-provider-next to use Kryoptic 1.5.2 and openssl 4.0.1 (JIRA:RHEL-190694)
• defer_tests variable is not set as it should [rhel-10.2.z] (JIRA:RHEL-214337)
• OpenSSL server takes ~3 seconds to read CA bundle do to RSA primality test on importing keys [rhel-10.2.z] (JIRA:RHEL-235296)
