An update for tigervnc is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

Description

Virtual Network Computing (VNC) is a remote display system which allows users to view a computing desktop environment not only on the machine where it is running, but from anywhere on the Internet and from a wide variety of machine architectures. TigerVNC is a suite of VNC servers and clients.

Bug Fix(es) and Enhancement(s):

  • x0vncserver on RHEL 9.6 can no longer auth from passwordfile [rhel-8.10.z] (JIRA:RHEL-93729)
  • Fix inetd mode not working introduced with Tigervnc 1.15.0 [rhel-8.10.z] (JIRA:RHEL-86513)
  • TigerVNC requires maximum 8 chars for password (JIRA:RHEL-89430)
  • Xvnc: "plain" security scheme should have a mechanism to force multiple connections to log in as the same user [rhel-8.10.z] (JIRA:RHEL-91104)
