Topic

An update for cloud-init is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.

Description

The cloud-init packages provide a set of init scripts for cloud instances. Cloud instances need special scripts to run during initialization to retrieve and install SSH keys, and to let the user run various scripts.

Bug Fix(es):

  • [rhel-9]cloud-init fails to configure DNS/search domains for network-config v1 (JIRA:RHEL-29558)
  • Suggest to backport patch ff40d1a to undeprecate 'network' in schema route definition (JIRA:RHEL-29718)
  • [cloud-init][ESXi]VMware datasource resets on every boot causing it to lose network configuration [rhel-9.4.z] (JIRA:RHEL-32845)
  • DataSourceNoCloudNet not configurable via config files [rhel-9.4.z] (JIRA:RHEL-36700)
