RHBA-2023:7231 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Updated rhel8/rhel-guest-image container image
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
An updated version of the rhel-guest-image container image is now available in the Red Hat container registry.
Description
The rhel8/rhel-guest-image container provides a qcow2 guest image of RHEL 8, for use by Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization.
This updates the rhel8/rhel-guest-image image in the Red Hat container registry.
To use the container image, load it on to Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
For introspection, you can also pull the image by running the following command as root:
podman pull registry.redhat.io/rhel8/rhel-guest-image
Solution
The container image provided by this update can be downloaded from the Red Hat container registry at registry.redhat.io using the "podman pull" command.
However, for the image to work properly, it must be loaded on to Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.
For more information about the image, search the <image_name> in the Red Hat Ecosystem Catalog: https://catalog.redhat.com/software/containers/search.
