Updated ovirt-engine packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.

Description

The ovirt-engine package provides the Red Hat Virtualization Manager, a centralized management platform that allows system administrators to view and manage virtual machines. The Manager provides a comprehensive range of features including search capabilities, resource management, live migrations, and virtual infrastructure provisioning.

Bug fix(es):

• Previously, certain operations on VMs with TPM devices, such as exporting a VM to a data domain or cloning a VM from a snapshot, sometimes incorrectly disabled the TPM device in the target VM. This not only caused losing the TPM device, but also prevented performing the operations for VMs with mandatory TPM devices (such as VMs running modern Windows versions).

In this release, the TPM devices remain enabled and the given VM operations work. (BZ#2136180)

• Previously, VMs that were imported from OVAs that were created by other systems (not oVirt/RHV) were not stored in the OVF store on the storage domain. AS a result, when the storage domain was detached, these VMs could not be imported back from the storage domain.

In this release, VMs that are imported from OVA files/directories created by another system are also stored in the OVF store on the storage domain and can be imported from the storage domain when it is attached to a data center. (BZ#2028242)

• Previously, when a host failed to get the list of existing disks on an imported storage domain it proceeded assuming there are no disks, which was not necessarily true.

As a result, new OVF_STORE disks might be created, despite the existence of such disks, and might corrupt them.
In this release, the attachment of the storage domain fails if there is a failure in getting the list of existing disks. (BZ#2126602)
