The ocp-tools-4-tech-preview/source-to-image-rhel8 container image has been updated for OpenShift Developer Tools and Services for OCP 4.7 to address the following security advisory: RHSA-2021:4587 (see References)

Users of ocp-tools-4-tech-preview/source-to-image-rhel8 container images are advised to upgrade to these updated images.

Solution

Users of ocp-tools-4-tech-preview/source-to-image-rhel8 container images are advised to upgrade to these updated images.
These images contain back-ported patches to correct the security issues, fix the bugs and add enhancements.
Users of these images are also encouraged to rebuild all container images that depend on these images.

The OpenShift Developer Tools and Services for OCP 4.7 container image provided by this update can be downloaded from the Red Hat Container Registry at registry.access.redhat.com.
You can find images updated by this advisory, and the installation instructions for your platform in the Red Hat Container Catalog (see References).

Dockerfiles and scripts should be amended either to refer to this new image specifically, or to the latest image generally.
