RHBA-2021:4002 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage 4.7.5 bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated images that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage 4.7.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 from Red Hat Container Registry.
Description
Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage is software-defined storage integrated with and optimized for the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage is a highly scalable, production-grade persistent storage for stateful applications running in the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. In addition to persistent storage, Red Hat OpenShift Container Storage provisions a multicloud data management service with an S3 compatible API.
Bug Fix(es):
- Previously, while updating OpenShift Container Storage from v4.6 to v4.7 several configuration actions such as creating buckets failed due to a duplicate entry in MongoDB. This was due to the migration of MongoDB to PostgreSQL. With this update, a duplicate entry is prevented and hence configuration failures are avoided. (BZ#2004132)
- Previously, when the nodes restarted, the MGR pod got stuck in a pod initialisation state which resulted in the inability to create new persistent volumes (PVs). With this update, the MGR pod restarts even if the MONs are down. (BZ#2005515)
All users of OpenShift Container Storage are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which provide these bug fixes.
