Topic

Updated gluster-ansible packages that fix several bugs are now available at Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization (RHHI-V) 1.8.4

Description

Red Hat Gluster Storage is software only scale-out storage solution that
provides flexible and affordable unstructured data storage. It unifies data
storage and infrastructure, increases performance, and improves availability and manageability to meet enterprise-level storage challenges.

This advisory fixes the following bugs:

  • Previously, lookup-optimize option could cause VM corruption on Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure for Virtualization (RHHI-V) environment. With this update, lookup-optimize option is disabled by default post RHHI-V deployment hence there is no VM corruption.
  • Previously, gluster bricks lacked the required SELinux label as the SELinux labels were applied on the incorrect brick names. With this update, gluster-ansible task is fixed to apply the SELinux label on the correct names of brick directories.
  • Previously, SSH reboot of the host from the Red Hat Virtualization Manager Administration portal failed as the SSH key files were not backed-up before reprovisioning the hyperconverged host. With this update, SSH key files are included in the archive and restored post hyperconverged host reprovisioning, thereby enabling the SSH reboot from the Red Hat Virtualization Administration portal.

All users of RHHI-V 1.8 on Red Hat Gluster Storage are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.
