Synopsis

Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Lightspeed patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated gluster-ansible packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
Red Hat Gluster Storage is a software only scale-out storage solution that provides flexible and affordable unstructured data storage. It unifies data storage and infrastructure, increases performance, and improves availability and manageability to meet enterprise-level storage challenges.
This advisory addresses the following bugs:
- Previously, the SSH key files were not backed-up before reprovisioning the hyperconverged host. Hence, the SSH reboot of the host from the Red Hat Virtualization Manager Administration portal failed. Now, the SSH key files are included in the archive and restored post hyperconverged host reprovisioning. Thus, the hyperconverged host is now SSH rebooted from the Red Hat Virtualization Administration portal. (BZ#1942322)
- Previously, using the lookup-optimize option caused VM corruption on Red Hat Hyperconverged Infrastructure environments due to sharding and after shrinking or expanding the volume during a rebalance operation. With this update, the look-optimize option is disabled by default to avoid the corruption of Red Hat Hyperconverged environments. (BZ#1939918)
All users of RHHI for Virtualization 1.7 on Red Hat Gluster Storage are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these issues.
