An update for java-1.8.0-openjdk is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

Description

The java-1.8.0-openjdk packages provide the OpenJDK 8 Java Runtime Environment and the OpenJDK 8 Java Software Development Kit.

Bug Fix(es):

The previous OpenJDK 8 release, 8u272, was found to contain a number of regressions. In particular, a regression introduced by one of the security fixes caused the virtual machine to crash when a null value was encountered. With this update, the null value is checked for and the crash does not occur.
