An update for openvswitch2.11 is now available in the Fast Datapath channel of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.

Description

Open vSwitch provides standard network bridging functions and support for
the OpenFlow protocol for remote per-flow control of traffic.

Bug Fix(es) and Enhancement(s):

  • packed=on: boot qemu with vhost-user and vIOMMU over OpenvSwitch, starting testpmd in guest will cause ovs crash[rhel8,ovs2.11] (BZ#1812741)
  • [OSP 13-15-16] dump_create: failed to get ifindex for tap* : Operation not supported (BZ#1812958)

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
