Updated leapp and leapp-repository packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available for the Extras channel of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The leapp packages provide the Leapp utility, a framework for performing an in-place upgrade from Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8. The leapp-repository packages provide modules for the Leapp utility and a plug-in for an SOS report to collect troubleshooting data.

The leapp and leapp-repository packages have been upgraded to version 0.8.0, which provides a number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous versions. Notably:

• The "leapp preupgrade" command is now available
• RPMs with rich dependencies can now be handled
• The release version on the target system is now set automatically

Solution
