An update for cloud-utils-growpart is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
The cloud-utils-growpart package provides the growpart script for growing a
partition. It is primarily used in cloud images to grow the root partition
during the first boot.
- Previously, when resizing a disk larger than 2TB, cloud-utils-growpart failed due to data inconsistency. This update adds a check that prevents this inconsistency. (BZ#1726564)
Users of cloud-utils-growpart are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
