Updated pcs packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.6.

Description

The pcs packages provide a command-line configuration system for the Pacemaker and Corosync utilities.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• Previously, pcs spawned a process for reading node tokens at least once for each node it communicated with. This caused extra load, especially in clusters with a bigger number of nodes. With this update, pcs runs the process for reading tokens only once, and the load generated by pcs is reduced.
• Previously, /var/log/pcsd/pcsd.log was missing most of the messages which should have been logged. With this update, /var/log/pcsd/pcsd.log contains all the logged messages.
• Previously, pcsd was synchronizing its config files with other nodes, downloading config files from all nodes every minute by default. In clusters with a bigger number of nodes, this could cause significant load on the cluster nodes. With this update, synchronization attempts are reduced to once every 10 minutes. If a node cannot connect to other nodes and receive their configs, it tries again every minute to synchronize as soon as possible. Once the synchronization is successful, the node goes back to synchronizing every 10 minutes. The load caused by pcsd synchronizing its config files has been significantly reduced while the impact on synchronization is small.

Users of pcs are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.
