Updated libvirt-snmp packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The libvirt-snmp packages allow users to control and monitor the libvirt virtualization management tool through Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

This update fixes the following bugs:

• Previously, libvirt-snmp used incompatible placeholders for object identifiers (OIDs), which caused incorrect OIDs to be sent in SNMP traps. With this update, the placeholders have been corrected and are now replaced properly. (BZ#1641995)
• Prior to this update, the variables sent in the SNMP trap by libvirt-snmp did not conform to the RFC 1905 protocol operations standard. This update fixes the problem. (BZ#1653591)
• The libvirt-snmp service previously did not reflect the object identifier (OID) assigned to it by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA). As a consequence, libvirt-snmp did not properly expose objects with assigned OIDs. The libvirt-snmp OID has been amended, and objects with assigned OIDs are now exposed correctly. (BZ#1653593)

Users of libvirt-snmp are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.

Solution

relevant to your system have been applied.
