Updated openvswitch packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available in Fast Datapath for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

Open vSwitch provides standard network bridging functions and support for the OpenFlow protocol for remote per-flow control of traffic.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• Updated openvswitch 2.10 to use DPDK 17.11.4 stable release (BZ#1566069)
• OVN: Fixed "dynamic_addresses" in table "Logical-Switch-Port" cannot change along with "ipv6_prefix" and "subnet" automatically (BZ#1569303)
• ovn-controller CLI request: Removed chassis from the ovn south database (BZ#1601795)
• ovn-trace: Fixed the ct_lb action that was not implemented (BZ#1623529)
• Mellanox DPDK patches backported to DPDK 17.11.4 (BZ#1631703)
• ofproto-dpif-xlate: Avoid deadlock on multicast snooping recursion (BZ#1643071)
• Fixed: Cannot shut down bond members and ports with OVS DPDK (BZ#1645288)
• Fixed: Open vSwitch ovs-vswitchd startup time increased significantly in minor versions larger than -63 (BZ#1647498)
• Fixed: [OVS 2.9] Issues with LACP failover - frames dropped in OVS DPDK 2.9 with OSP 10 (BZ#1649519)

In addition, this update adds the following enhancements:

• This update adds the possibility to specify an OUI for MAC addresses

dynamically allocated by OVN. As a result, users can specify an OUI for each OVN
deployment to avoid MAC address collisions. (BZ#1623260)

• This update introduces a deterministic relationship between IP and MAC

addresses dynamically allocated by OVN. As a result, the POD is always reachable
even if it gets a new IP address from OVN. (BZ#1626217)

Users of openvswitch are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
these bugs and add these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
