Updated packages that resolve various issues are now available for Red Hat
OpenStack Platform 12.0 (Pike) for RHEL 7.

Description

Red Hat OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for building, deploying
and monitoring a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud
running on commonly available physical hardware.

Changes to the openstack-manila component:

• Previously, the Manila driver failed to run some NetApp APIs when configured to run as a non-cluster-scoped NetApp user, resulting in share deletion failure.

With this update, the Manila driver handles API failures due to permission issues correctly and share deletion no longer fails when the driver runs as a non-cluster-scoped NetApp user. (BZ#1607426)

• Previously, Manila did not use the correct search options when a project administrator used the python manilaclient to show details for a manila share that was owned by another user.

With this update, manila and the python manilaclient use the correct search options and project administrators can show details for manila shares that other users own. (BZ#1500985)

Changes to the python-openstackclient component:

• Previously, nova removed the `disk_over_commit` parameter during live migration of an instance, but openstackclient continued to send the parameter. As a result, the migration request failed with an unexpected keyword error.

With this update, nova does not send the `disk_over_commit` parameter on microversion 2.24 or newer. As a result, live migration requests succeed. (BZ#1633726)

Changes to the python-os-client-config component:

• Previously, password values were subject to variable substitution using a syntax of matched braces {} to delimit the variable. Any variable syntax error in the password string, or unintended variable substitution would cause the password to fail.

With this update, passwords are not subject to variable substitution and the client accepts passwords with any mix of braces. (BZ#1593636)

Changes to the python-oslo-messaging component:

• Previously, when an OpenStack service logs at DEBUG level, Oslo Messaging logs the message "Timed out waiting for RPC response" unnecessarily.

With this fix, Oslo Messaging no longer logs this message in instances when the timeout is recoverable. (BZ#1600960)

Solution

Before applying this update, ensure all previously released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
