Topic

An update is now available for Red Hat Virtualization Manager.

Description

The Red Hat Virtualization Manager is a centralized management platform that allows system administrators to view and manage virtual machines. The Manager provides a comprehensive range of features including search capabilities, resource management, live migrations, and virtual infrastructure provisioning.

The Manager is a JBoss Application Server application that provides several interfaces for accessing and interacting with the virtual environment, including an Administration Portal, a User Portal, and a Representational State Transfer (REST) Application Programming Interface (API).

Changes to the ovirt-engine component:

  • The snapshot's status is locked until snapshot creation is complete. (BZ#1635189)
  • In the Administration Portal, searching for virtual machines by network label, VM emulated machine, and CPU type are not supported due to the complexity of their implementation. (BZ#1519777)
  • For compatibility versions 4.2 and 4.3, a warning in the Cluster screen indicates that the CPU types currently used are not supported in 4.3. The warning enables the user to change the cluster CPU type to a supported CPU type. (BZ#1623259)
  • A filter for VNIC profiles, `clean-traffic-gateway`, supports private VLAN connections. (BZ#1610979)
  • The current release blocks the creation of a live snapshot of an unresponsive virtual machine. (BZ#1637066)
  • The current release supports virtual machines with 2 or more TB of memory. (BZ#1639263)
