RHBA-2018:3427 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
RHGS WA bug fix update
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Red Hat Lightspeed patch analysis
Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated Red Hat Gluster Storage Wed Administration packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Gluster Storage 3.4 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
Red Hat Gluster Storage Web Administration includes a fully automated setup based on Ansible and provides deep metrics and insights into active Gluster storage pools by using the Grafana platform. Red Hat Gluster Storage Web Administration provides a dashboard view which allows an administrator to get a view of overall gluster health in terms of hosts, volumes, bricks, and other components of GlusterFS.
The updated fixes the following bugs:
- Previously, there were two panels, Capacity Utilization and Mount Point Utilization in the Brick dashboard that displayed the same metric for brick utilization. Having two different panels displaying the same data was confusing. Therefore, to avoid any confusion, the Mount Point Utilization panel is now discarded and the Capacity Utilization panel is retained to display brick utilization metrics. (BZ#1613729)
- The Weeks Remaining panel in the Host and Cluster dashboard of Grafana did not display complete and accurate metrics about the remaining weeks for volumes utilization due to inaccurate predictions. To avoid projecting any false or inaccurate metrics, the Weeks Remaining panel is now removed from the Host and Cluster Dashboard of Grafana. (BZ#1614005)
- The Subvolume panel in the Volume dashboard of Grafana displayed only the subvolumes count without any explanation of subvolumes or without depicting health status. Since there was no useful metric displayed in the subvolume panel, the panel is now removed from the Volume dashboard (BZ#1614263)
All users of Red Hat Gluster Storage Web Administration are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which provide numerous bug fixes and enhancements.
