Description
Satellite Maintenance is a set of tools for managing and operating Red Hat Satellite Server.
This update provides Satellite 6.4 upgrades for these tools. For the full list of new features provided by Satellite 6.4, see the Release Notes linked to in the references section. See the Satellite 6 Installation Guide for detailed instructions on how to install a new Satellite 6.4 environment, or the Satellite 6 Upgrading and Updating guide for detailed instructions on how to upgrade from prior versions of Satellite 6.
- Checks and validation are added ensure that users upgrade to Puppet 4 before upgrading to Satellite 6.4. (BZ#1571859)
- Satellite 6.4 beta repositories were enabled. (BZ#1613096)
- Bash completion has been added to the foreman-maintain command. (BZ#1620724)
- The Satellite clone tool was failing to disassociate Lifecycle Enviroments if there were spaces in the names. This is now fixed. (BZ#1623681)
- The foreman-maintain tool failed to start the foreman-tasks service. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624699)
- Some services that were handled by the katello-service tool were not handled by foreman-maintain. This is now fixed. (BZ#1624717)
- The foreman-maintain service restart command was failing with undefined method `[]' for nil:NilClass on both Satellite and Capsule. This is now fixed. (BZ#1625169)
- The foreman-maintain health check command was not checking the status of services on Capsule. This is now fixed. (BZ#1625630)
- The foreman-maintain service status command was not reading stopped services. This is now fixed. (BZ#1625692)
- The foreman-maintain service did not restart when it was stopped. This is now fixed . (BZ#1626651)
- The Satellite clone tool was failing to enable Satellite 6.3 repositories. This is now fixed. (BZ#1631147)
- The foreman-maintain restore command failed during the migration of Pulp database. This is now fixed. (BZ#1631944)
- Satellite 6.4 repositories are now enabled. (BZ#1632109)
All users who require Satellite version 6.4 are advised to install these new
packages.
Solution
Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
