Updated python-boto3 packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The python-boto3 package provides Boto3, the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Software Development Kit (SDK) for Python. It enables Python developers to write software that makes use of services like Amazon S3 and Amazon EC2.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Due to a missing import of the sys module in boto3.s3.transfer, boto3.resource('s3') failed with the ImportException error message. This update adds the "import sys" statement in the code, and boto3.resource('s3') works as expected. (BZ#1581764)

Users of python-boto3 are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
