An updated buildah package that fixes several bugs and adds various enhancements
is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extras.

Description

The buildah package provides a tool for facilitating building OCI container images. Among other things, buildah enables you to:

  • Create a working container, either from scratch or using an image as a starting point.
  • Create an image, either from a working container or using the instructions in a Dockerfile.
  • Build both Docker and OCI images.

The buildah package has been upgraded to upstream version 0.16.0, which provides
a number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous version. (BZ#1565884)

Users of buildah are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes
these bugs and adds these enhancements.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
