RHBA-2018:1338 - Bug Fix Advisory
Synopsis
Red Hat OpenStack Platform 12.0 containers Bug Fix Advisory
Type/Severity
Bug Fix Advisory
Topic
Updated container images are now available for Red Hat OpenStack Platform
12.0 (Pike) for RHEL 7
Description
Red Hat OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for building, deploying
and monitoring a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud
running on commonly available physical hardware.
Changes to the openstack-containers component:
- A refactor introducing redis-base in kolla was missed during the OSP 12 (pike) development cycle. The openstack-redist container image was missing a couple of key pieces - user add and extended_start script.
The fix was to inject the steps from kolla redis-base image into openstack-redis image. The resulting image should have all of the necessary user, extended_start.sh, and permissions setup to work correctly. (BZ#1566684)
