Topic
Updated Satellite Maintenance packages that fix several bugs are now available.
Description
Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.
This update fixes the following bugs:
- When katello services were stopped and a check for verifying syntax for ISP DHCP configuration was performed, it failed with error showing undefined method `strip' for nil:NilClass. This is now fixed. (BZ#1506107)
- Previously, the foreman-maintain advanced procedure run foreman-tasks-delete --state option incorrectly accepted `paused` but paused tasks must not be deleted, only resumed. The foreman-maintain advanced procedure run foreman-tasks-delete procedure now only accepts "old", "planning", and "pending" as arguments to the "--state" option. (BZ#1506237)
- Previously, the "--whitelist" option had no effect when used with "foreman-maintain upgrade check". With this update, the "--whitelist" option works as expected with "foreman-maintain upgrade check". (BZ#1525454)
- Under certain circumstances, when using the foreman-maintain upgrade tool to upgrade from 6.2.14 to 6.3, it failed with 'Could not remove existing file' while attempting to convert a directory to a symbolic link on the file system. This is now fixed. (BZ#1548230)
- The foreman-maintain script includes a check to validate the availability of repositories. With this update, if any repository is missing while validating, foreman-maintain issues the "subscription-manager refresh" command and checks again. In addition, a list of any missing repositories is printed. (BZ#1548368, BZ#1549080)
- The candlepin database check has been enhanced with additional procedures to fix common errors and now provides a link to a Red Hat Knowledgebase solution for further information. (BZ#1550924)
Users of Red Hat Satellite Maintenance Tooling on all Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.
