Updated OpenStack Telemetry packages that resolve various issues are now
available for Red Hat OpenStack Platform 11.0 (Ocata) for RHEL 7.

Description

Red Hat OpenStack Platform provides the facilities for building, deploying
and monitoring a private or public infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) cloud
running on commonly available physical hardware. This advisory includes
packages for:

• OpenStack Telemetry service

OpenStack Telemetry (ceilometer) collects customer usage data for metering
purposes. Telemetry implements bus listener, push, and polling agents for
data collection. This data is stored in a database and presented via the
REST API. In addition, Telemetry's extensible design means it can be
optionally extended to gather customized data sets.

Changes to the openstack-gnocchi component:

• A bug in the ACL filter caused all metrics for all users to display for non-admin users. This fix corrects the filter. Now non-admin users only have access to metrics designated through the ACL filter. (BZ#1489773)

Solution

Before applying this update, ensure all previously released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
