Updated Satellite 6.2 packages that fix one bug is now available for Red Hat Satellite.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update fixes the following bug:

• When performing a backup with the katello-backup utility, it did not backup custom certificates. This is required for proper backup and restore procedures as well as for use with the new satellite-clone tool. With this update, katello-backup now includes custom certificates when making a backup. (BZ#1507981)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

To update this system to include these fixes, ensure your system has access to the latest Red Hat packages. For instructions on how to apply this update refer to:

Then restart Satellite Server:

# katello-service restart
