Topic
An updated ovirt-hosted-engine-ha package is now available.
Description
The ovirt-hosted-engine-ha package enables the self-hosted engine to be highly available. A self-hosted engine is a virtualized environment in which the Red Hat Virtualization Manager runs on a virtual machine on the hosts managed by the Manager. If the host running the virtual machine goes into maintenance, the virtual machine is migrated automatically to another host in the environment.
Changes to the ovirt-hosted-engine-ha component:
- This release adds caching of the OVF storage location. As the OVF storage location rarely changes, it does not need to be searched for on every monitoring loop iteration. Instead it can be saved and reused, and expired only in the case of an error. As a result, the monitoring loop execution time is decreased significantly. (BZ#1502653)
- Previously, during deployment of an additional self-hosted engine node, the Manager was expecting a configuration archive of 20480 bytes; but in certain circumstances, the size of the configuration archive was just 10240 bytes. This caused the deployment to fail. Now the block size is forced at tar level to avoid such failures, and a file size check has been added. (BZ#1493384)
