Updated rear packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

Relax-and-Recover is a recovery and system migration utility. The utility produces a bootable image and restores from backup using this image. It allows to restore to different hardware and can therefore be also used as a migration utility.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, Relax-and-Recover incorrectly required the dosfsck and efibootmgr utilities installed on systems that do not use UEFI. As a consequence, if the utilities were missing, the "rear mkrescue" command failed with an error. This bug has been fixed. Relax-and-Recover now requires the mentioned utilities to be installed only on UEFI systems. (BZ#1492561)

Users of rear are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
