Topic

An updated Windows Azure Linux Agent package that fixes several bugs and adds various enhancements is now available in the Extras channel of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

Description

The Windows Azure Linux Agent supports provisioning and running Linux
virtual machines in the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud.

The WALinuxAgent package has been upgraded to upstream version 2.2.14, which provides a number of bug fixes and enhancements over the previous version. (BZ#1451172)

This update also fixes this bug:

  • The FIPS feature introduced in the prior WALinuxAgent version was not working properly. This update disables the feature. Note that a fix for the feature to function correctly will be released in a future update. (BZ#1467553)

Users of Windows Azure Linux Agent are advised to upgrade to this updated package, which fixes these bugs and adds these enhancements. The package should be installed on Linux disk images that are built to run in the Windows Azure environment.
