Updated rpcbind packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The rpcbind utility is a server that converts Remote Procedure Call (RPC) program numbers into universal addresses. It must be running on the host to be able to make RPC calls on a server on that machine.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Prior to this update, the rpcbind utility terminated unexpectedly on start. A patch has been applied, and rpcbind now starts as expected. (BZ#1458240)
  

Users of rpcbind are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
