Updated Satellite 6.2 packages that fix several bugs are now available for Red Hat Satellite.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• The katello-backup script was producing full backups when incremental backups were requested. The script now honors the incremental option. (BZ#1445989)
  
• The katello-backup script was failing to locate certain tar files since they had been compressed using gzip. The script now finds these files correctly. (BZ#1431971)
  
• Searching for a host by organization sometimes caused Satellite to run out of memory. This search now completes successfully. (BZ#1447958)
  

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

To update this system to include these fixes, ensure your system has access to the latest Red Hat packages. For instructions on how to apply this update refer to:

Then restart the satellite server:

# katello-service restart

or

# katello-service restart

• BZ - 1447958 - [regression] host search by organization never finishes but causes mem.leak in foreman process
