Updated registry-console container images that fix a bug are now available for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 3.3 and 3.4.

Description

Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform is the company's cloud computing Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution designed for on-premise or private cloud deployments.

The registry-console container image provides a web console for the OpenShift Container Platform registry.

This update fixes the following bug:

• The registry-console:3.3-13 and registry-console:3.4-8 container images combined two cockpit packages that did not work well together. This caused users to be unable to log in to the registry web console, instead redirecting to the login page. This bug fix updates the images to correct the package mismatch, and as a result users can log in as expected. (BZ#1447461)

This update includes the following images:

openshift3/registry-console:3.3-14
openshift3/registry-console:3.4-9

All users of the registry web console are advised to update to these new container images.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

If the registry web console is already deployed, update to this latest image by editing the registry-console deployment configuration as a user with cluster-admin permissions:

$ oc edit -n default dc/registry-console

Update the `image` field to specify the appropriate latest image tag.

For OpenShift Container Platform 3.3:

image: registry.access.redhat.com/openshift3/registry-console:3.3-14

For OpenShift Container Platform 3.4:

image: registry.access.redhat.com/openshift3/registry-console:3.4-9

After saving your changes, the deployment configuration will trigger a new deployment and pull the latest image.
