Description

Red Hat Virtualization Manager provides access to virtual machines using SPICE. The spice-client-msi package provides the SPICE client for both Windows 32-bit operating systems and Windows 64-bit operating systems.

Changes to the mingw-virt-viewer component:

  • Previously, to support the Japanese keyboard, the Input Method Manager (IMM) was disabled and as a result users were unable to change the keyboard language. In this release, the Japanese keyboard is supported without disabling the IMM. (BZ#1342984)
  • Previously, IPv6 parsing failed causing remote-viewer to fail when connecting to a host with an IPv6 address. In this release, remote-viewer can successfully connect to a host with an IPv6 address. (BZ#1362394)

Changes to the rhevm-spice-client component:

  • rhevm-spice-client packages were renamed to spice-client-msi. (BZ#1405612)

Changes to the spice-usbdk-win component:

  • Previously, when a USB hub containing a redirected device was unplugged, spice-usbdk-win failed to clean up the redirected device. When the USB hub and its attached device were replugged, the device could not be redirected.

In this release, the issue has been fixed. spice-usbdk-win will now clean up the redirected device as required. When the USB hub and the USB device are re-plugged, the device can be redirected to the guest. (BZ#1404232)
