An updated yum-rhn-plugin package that fixes one bug is now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 Extended Update Support.

Description

The yum-rhn-plugin package provides support for connecting to Red Hat Network (RHN) and Red Hat Satellite server. Systems registered with RHN are able to update and install packages from Red Hat Network.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the yum-rhn-plugin package sent malformed request headers. As a consequence, the Red Hat Satellite server failed to download repository metadata when a Red Hat Satellite server ran the httpd package version 2.2.15 or later, and strict-white space-enforcement mode was enabled. The bug has been fixed, so that now yum-rhn-plugin sends correct HTTP request headers, and packages are now installed and updated as expected. (BZ#1426701)

Users of yum-rhn-plugin are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fixes this bug.

Solution
