Updated compat-locales-sap packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The compat-locales-sap packages provide various compatibility locales for use with SAP Application Servers.

This update fixes the following bug:

• Previously, the locales from the compat-locales-sap package were

installed into the /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive file. As this file is replaced when the glibc-common package is updated, the locales installed by the compat-locales-sap package were overwritten and thus lost. With this update, the locales from the compat-locales-sap package are now installed in folders in the /usr/lib/locale/ directory and they remain preserved during the update of the glibc-common package. Users of compat-locales-sap are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.
