Topic
An updated Windows Azure Linux Agent package is now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 7 Extras.
Description
The Windows Azure Linux Agent supports the provisioning and running of Linux
virtual machines in the Microsoft Windows Azure cloud.
In addition, this update also adds the following enhancement:
- Previously, on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, if NetworkManager was enabled, the hostname was not sent to the DHCP server during provisioning, and the Virtual Machine's internal DNS was not sent to the DNS server. This bug has been fixed, the hostname is now set correctly and as a result, the DNS is set up properly. (BZ#1413674)
All users who require the Windows Azure Linux Agent are advised to install this updated package. This package should be installed on Linux disk images that are built to run in the Windows Azure environment.
