Updated compat-sap-c++-5 packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2 Enhanced Update Support.

Description

The compat-sap-c++ packages contain the libstdc++ shared library named sap-compat-c++.so, which is a runtime compatibility library needed for SAP applications. The compat-sap-c++-5 packages are based on GCC 5.

This update fixes the following bug:

• A symbolic link was previously not provided for use by SAP software. Consequently, SAP could not depend on this feature in their software for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and hence end users could not receive SAP software versions that need this feature. With this update, the symbolic link compat-sap-c++-5.so has been added, which links to the runtime library. As a result, SAP software can use the symbolic rather than explicit library name, and hence SAP will in due course be able to release software relying upon the availability of this mechanism. Users of compat-sap-c++-5 are advised to upgrade to these updated packages.
