Updated Satellite 6.2 packages that fix several bugs are now available.

Description

Red Hat Satellite is a system management solution that allows organizations to configure and maintain their systems without the necessity to provide public Internet access to their servers or other client systems. It performs provisioning and configuration management of predefined standard operating environments.

This update fixes the following bugs:

• The performance of the task system has been improved. (BZ#1334924, BZ#1372073)
• The Candlepin engine sometimes double recorded manifest imports causing future imports to fail. This situation is now avoided. (BZ#1337833, BZ#1366798)
• Capsule synchronization has been improved. (BZ#1354623, BZ#1365952)
• Satellite was not enforcing the full host name requirement for hosts which resulted in duplicate rows. The code now enforces this requirement. (BZ#1356714)
• Atomic hosts, once provisioned, can now pull content from the Satellite. (BZ#1364436)
• Atomic Host kickstart trees can now be downloaded from the Red Hat CDN. (BZ#1364712, BZ#1377449)
• VDC subscriptions are now rendered correctly in Activation Key pages. (BZ#1365189)
• Custom products were not being subscribed using activation keys. These products are now subscribed. (BZ#1370496)
• Non empty Puppet module directories were deleted during upgrade. The delete job has been improved to not delete these directories. (BZ#1378249)

Users of Red Hat Satellite are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix these bugs.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant to your system have been applied.

To update this system to include these fixes, ensure your system has access to the latest Red Hat packages. For instructions on how to apply this update, refer to:

Then re-run the installer to complete the upgrade:

# satellite-installer --scenario satellite --upgrade

or

# satellite-installer --scenario capsule --upgrade

• BZ - 1365189 - VDC guest subscriptions showing as null in activation key
• BZ - 1365952 - Capsule auto-synchronization fails with an error 'PLP0034' (Katello::Errors::PulpError ) after publishing content view on satellite 6.2.0
• BZ - 1366798 - Manifest fails to import.
• BZ - 1370496 - Custom products in Activation key are not subscribed when service_level is set
• BZ - 1372073 - loading task takes 10+ seconds, makes 16K sql queries
• BZ - 1377449 - Enable katello to sync atomic repos from cdn
