Topic

Bugfixes for cockpit-ovirt 4.0.4

Description

Cockpit is a Linux system administration tool with a web UI, easy setup, and minimal system footprint at runtime. When installed on hosts in Red Hat Virtualization, it provides monitoring and management functions beyond those available in the Administration Portal. The cockpit-ovirt package is installed by default on Red Hat Virtualization Host (RHVH).

Changes to the cockpit-ovirt component:

  • Previously, the cockpit-ovirt plugin was not operating in Internet Explorer 11, because Internet Explorer 11 does not support some Javascript functions. With this release, the cockpit-ovirt plugin works on Internet Explorer 11. (BZ#1353882)

Changes to the UI component:

  • On the Virtualization page in Cockpit, if VDSM is not running on the host, the user is informed and steps to resolve the issue are provided. This might happen, in particular, when the self-hosted engine is not yet deployed or the host is not yet added to a cluster. (BZ#1369001)
  • With this release, a warning before the 'Shut Down All VMs' action stresses the importance of checking which virtual machines will be affected, namely the self-hosted engine. (BZ#1366144)
