Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated corosync packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.1 Extended Update Support.
Description
The corosync packages provide the Corosync Cluster Engine and C APIs for Red Hat Enterprise Linux cluster software.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, the corosync utility failed to start when the DNS returned IPv6 addresses, corosync was configured to use hostnames instead of IP addresses, and corosync was configured to use IPv4. With this update, the corosync parser can resolve the hostname regardless of the IP address type returned and the corosync configuration. As a result, corosync starts in the described circumstances as expected. (BZ#1333396)
Users of corosync are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
