Updated ovirt-node packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available.

Description

The ovirt-node package provides the utilities and recipes used to create and configure the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor ISO image.

Note: Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor is only available for the Intel 64 and AMD64 architectures with virtualization extensions.

Changes to the ovirt-node component:

  • Previously, livecd-creator generated a default efiboot.img for EFI booting. As a result, RHEV-H images booting from EFI were missing some options which were present in legacy booting. Now, after a forced regeneration of efiboot.img, the EFI boot menu and legacy boot menu are aligned. (BZ#1322784)
  • Previously, after setting the iSCSI initiator name and rebooting, the initiator name was reset to the previous name. Now, the iSCSI initiator name is persisted by default, so that the new name is used after reboot. (BZ#1322787)

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
