Topic

Updated haproxy packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat
Enterprise Linux 6.

Description

The haproxy packages provide a reliable, high-performance network load balancer
for TCP and HTTP-based applications.

This update fixes the following bug:

  • Previously, when haproxy was configured to use peer host names, a bug caused

host names longer than 32 characters to be truncated. As a consequence, the
haproxy configuration files became invalid. This bug has now been fixed, and
host names specified as peers can now safely exceed 32 characters. (BZ#1300386)

Users of haproxy are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
this bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
