Updated tog-pegasus packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
Description
OpenPegasus Web-Based Enterprise Management (WBEM) Services for Linux enables management solutions that deliver increased control of enterprise resources. WBEM is a platform and resource independent of Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF) standard that defines a common information model and communication protocol for monitoring and controlling resources from diverse sources.
This update fixes the following bug:
- When using the previous version of OpenPegasus Common Information Model (CIM) server, the Single Network Management Protocol version 3 (SNMPv3) trap was in some cases not sent properly and the "Snmp Indication Handler failed to send the trap" error message was logged. This update ensures that using a SNMPv3 trap properly triggers the snmpv3_engineID_probe() function, and the described problem no longer occurs. (BZ#1249713)
Users of tog-pegasus are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
