Identify and remediate systems affected by this advisory.
Topic
Updated docker packages that fix several bugs and add various enhancements are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 Extras.
Description
Docker is an open source engine that automates the deployment of any application as a lightweight, portable, self-sufficient container that will run virtually anywhere.
This update fixes the following bug:
Changes to the docker component:
- Previously, Docker 1.8.2 was failing to perform any actions if SELinux was set to enforcing mode. This is no longer an issue, and Docker images now run as expected. (BZ#1281805)
- Previously, debug symbols were not included in Docker binaries. Without DWARF debug info, the ability to analyze Docker core files was very limited. (BZ#1280068)
- Previously, if the Docker service crashed on a node, it did not automatically restart. As a result, you would need to log in to the master itself and manually start the service in order to have the environment running properly. Now, this has been fixed, and the Docker service is automatically restarted after a failure. (BZ#1276346)
- Previously, when docker-selinux was installed as a dependency of docker, it was being installed before docker itself. This caused its %post scriptlet to fail. As of Docker 1.9, this has been fixed, and there are no related error messages. (BZ#1271229)
Users of docker are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix
these bugs and add these enhancements.
