Updated environment-modules packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
Description
The environment-modules packages provide dynamic modification of user environment using module files. Each module file contains the information needed to configure the shell for an application. Once the package is initialized, the environment can be modified on a per-module basis using the "module" utility, which interprets module files.
This update fixes the following bug:
- Previously, the helper scripts shipped with environment-modules incorrectly handled environmental variables that were prefixed or suffixed with a delimiter other than the colon character. Consequently, generated modules contained environment variables with incorrect values. This update enhances the logic of the helper scripts, and modules are now generated with the correct environment variables. (BZ#1180139)
Users of environment-modules are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug.
