Updated radvd packages that fix one bug are now available for Red Hat Enterprise
Linux 7.

Description

The radvd packages provide the router advertisement daemon for IPv6 that listens
to router solicitations and sends router advertisements. With these
advertisements, hosts can automatically configure their addresses and certain
other parameters. The hosts can also choose a default router based on these
advertisements.

This update fixes the following bug:

• The radvd daemon is supposed to install its configuration files in the

/usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/ directory. Prior to this update, radvd installed them in
the /etc/tmpfiles.d/ directory, which was incorrect because /etc/tmpfiles.d/ is
reserved for the local administrator. With this update, radvd installs its
configuration files in /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/ as expected. (BZ#1180991)

Users of radvd are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this
bug.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously released errata
relevant to your system have been applied.
