Topic

An updated ovirt-node package that fixes various bugs and contains a number of
enhancements is now available.

Description

The ovirt-node package provides the utilities and recipes used to create and
configure the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor ISO image.

Note: Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor is only available for the
Intel 64 and AMD64 architectures with virtualization extensions.

Users of the Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor are advised to upgrade
to this updated package, which corrects these issues and adds these
enhancements:

Changes to the ovirt-node component:

• Previously, when Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor was installed on

a host with multiple disks, some disks did not appear in the installation
dialog. Now, all disks are detected, and appear during the installation.

• Previously, when using Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor with

multipath devices and specific hardware, the multipath configuration was
sometimes not applied correctly. Now, the multipath configuration is reloaded
much earlier during boot, and is applied correctly. (BZ#1241115)

• Previously, some configured networks did not appear after rebooting the Red

Hat Enterprise Virtualization Hypervisor. This happened because networking was
sometimes being restarted while vdsm-network was coming up. Now, the network is
restarted much earlier, and all networks appear on boot as configured.

Solution

Before applying this update, make sure all previously-released errata relevant
to your system have been applied.
